The Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has said the $50 million (about N18bn)
Transportation University in Daura, Katsina State will be ready by September, 2021.
He stated this on Saturday during an inspection of the facility in Daura.
Daily Trust reports that the ground break ceremony of the university was done by President Muhammadu Buhari in December 2019 but the COVID-19 pandemic stalled the project.
He reiterated that the University is a corporate social responsibility of the CCECC, the company that is handling all the railway projects in Nigeria currently.
“There was so much noise about CCECC not commencing the construction of the Transportation University but they are constructing,” the minister noted.
“They just got the approval from the state government and proper construction starts at the end of September.
